After several months of planning, we are pleased to announce both the incorporation of Mosaic Fundraising, LLC and the launch of mosaicfundraising.org.

Our first packaged offering for educational and other non-profit organizations is a hosted Amazon storefront. This storefront allows your constituents to search and shop Amazon.com for millions of different products.  Purchasing any of these products results in donations to your organization.

For example, please go to http://www.mosaicfundraising.org/amazon/co-denver/southmoor/.  Once there, please specify a search term (and optionally, a category) to query the entire Amazon catalog. Add items to your shopping cart to see what Southmoor Elementary would generate via this model.

Our objective has been to create something that involved:

• Capturing a slice of what people were already spending
• No setup fees
• No selling
• No interference with any other fundraising efforts

The storefront is configurable – for example, by default all items tagged as “explicit” are excluded from search results to maintain a family-friendly environment. Other types of items can be excluded, if needed. The storefronts will have even greater functionality as we roll out more enhanced versions.
